Recently, I changed my definition of "Going Out." Now, it's about getting back to nature and away from the city. My interests are backpacking, hiking, and camping - in that order. This workbook lists of the 10-essentials for being on the trail, as well as lists of alternate equipment for day hiking and trekking. I didn't add up how much I spent, because I don't want to know. Most of the notes are comments from three friends listed as R, Kappy, and Moy. Their advice was invaluable to me in finding all the right equipment. Of course, this list isn't perfect or comprehensive. No matter what, the most important thing you take with you are your wits and your instincts. This isn't artistic, but hopefully, others will find it useful.
